Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our growing law firm! In this role, you will be responsible for managing the day to day financial accounts of the firm, while working in collaboration with an additional bookkeeper and accounting team on monthly reconciliations and year-end financials. Your expertise will help support our financial health by maintaining meticulous bookkeeping practices, processing transactions efficiently, and by interacting with clients regarding invoice payments. Duties
- Maintain accurate financial records using legal accounting software such as Unity Accounting and Clio
- Manage accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely payments and collections
- Perform bank reconciliations regularly to verify account accuracy and identify discrepancies
- Conduct account analysis and prepare reports to support budgeting and financial planning
- Process payroll accurately, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Assist with month-end closing procedures, including ledger entries and account reconciliations
- Support audit preparations by organizing financial documents and transaction histories
Requirements
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles with familiarity in accounting software
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation
- Ability to perform detailed account analysis and maintain precise financial records
- Experience managing payroll processes and related compliance requirements
- Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of budgeting processes and financial reporting is a plus
- Effective communication skills to collaborate across teams and explain financial data clearly
The job offers the opportunity to work 1 to 2 days a week from home, with a minimum of 3 days in office. We appreciate all candidates applying, however, only those selected for interviews will be contacted. Salary considerations will be commensurate with experience.
Pay: $55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
