Breck Construction is looking for skilled Journeyperson Industrial Insulator who take pride in their craft, value a strong team, and are ready to work on some of Western Canada’s most exciting industrial projects.
At Breck, no two projects are exactly the same. Our Industrial Insulators work across industrial construction, maintenance, shutdowns, and turnarounds, supporting major facilities and projects while building valuable hands-on experience along the way.

What You’ll Be Doing
As an Industrial Insulator with Breck, you’ll be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and removing insulation systems on piping, vessels, tanks, equipment, ductwork, and other industrial systems.
You’ll put your skills to work by:
- Installing and repairing a variety of industrial insulation systems.
- Measuring, cutting, fitting, and installing insulation materials to project specifications.
- Fabricating and installing metal cladding and protective jacketing.
- Reading and interpreting drawings, specifications, work packages, and manufacturer requirements.
- Using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment safely and effectively.
- Working from scaffolds, ladders, elevated work platforms, and other approved access systems.
- Inspecting your work and ensuring installations meet project and quality requirements.
- Working alongside supervisors, coworkers, and other trades to keep projects moving.
- Maintaining clean, organized, and safe work areas.
- Bringing quality workmanship, productivity, and attention to detail to every job.
Safety Is Part of the Job
At Breck, working safely isn't separate from the work, it's how we work.
You'll lead and participate in site orientations, toolbox meetings, hazard assessments, and FLHAs while following all company, client, and site-specific safety requirements. You'll be expected to properly use PPE, recognize and report hazards, and follow applicable procedures for fall protection, respiratory protection, confined spaces, hazardous materials, and other site requirements.
Most importantly, you'll look out for yourself and the people working beside you.
What You Bring
We're looking for people who are:
- Experienced in industrial insulation and comfortable working in active industrial environments.
- Experience in leadership and supervisory roles.
- Able to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, climbing, bending, kneeling, and working in restricted spaces.
- Comfortable working outdoors, at heights, and in varying weather and site conditions.
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and ready to work.
- Able to work independently while also being a strong member of the crew.
- Focused on producing quality work efficiently and accurately.
- Respectful, dependable, and committed to doing the job right.
- Journeyperson Industrial Insulator Certificate: Red Seal Endorsement
- Able to successfully complete a pre-access drug and alcohol test.
- Possess a valid Fall Protection Certification
- Possess a valid SCOT Certification
- Possess a valid Confined Space Certification
- Registered and active member in good standing of Local 119

Working Conditions:
- Working indoors and outdoors
- Travel to/from/within various jobsites
- Heavy manual labour including regular lifting of up to 50 pounds
- Daily exposure to construction environment (heavy equipment, inclement weather, etc.)
