Overview

Total Traffic Control Inc. is looking for reliable, safety minded (TCP) flaggers to join our team. The successful candidates will safely direct and control vehicle and pedestrian traffic through work zones, operate Automated Flagger Assistance Devices (AFADs) when required, communicate with site crews and follow traffic control plans and safety procedures.

Work may include local ad out-of-town work depending of project requirements

Responsibilities

- Set up and maintain traffic control devices such as cones, signs, and barriers to guide vehicles and pedestrians effectively.
- Direct traffic around construction zones using transparent hand signals or communication equipment to prevent accidents and ensure safety.
- Monitor work zones continuously, identifying potential hazards or unsafe behaviors and reporting them promptly.
- Follow established safety procedures and ensure compliance with local regulations and company policies
- Keep detailed records of daily activities, incidents, and safety checks to support ongoing site safety audits.




- Previous experience in traffic control or construction environment is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation (AFADS)is a plus, aiding in understanding site activities and safety measures.
- Construction experience helps in recognizing site hazards and working efficiently within a busy work zone.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, remain alert, and respond quickly to changing conditions on-site.
