Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Agricultural Labourer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be actively involved in various farm operations, supporting crop production, equipment maintenance, and general farm tasks. Your energy and attention to detail will contribute directly to the success of our farming activities.
Responsibilities
- Assist with planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops using farm machinery
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment, including cleaning, lubricating, and minor repairs
- Operate heavy machinery and power tools safely and efficiently under supervision
- Handle heavy lifting of supplies, equipment parts
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and storage facilities
- Follow safety protocols diligently to ensure a protected working environment for all team members
Experience
- Previous experience working on a farm or in an agricultural setting is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with farm machinery operation, hand tools, power tools, and maintenance tasks is a plus
- Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking
- Basic math skills for measuring, calculating quantities, and record keeping are beneficial
- Mechanically inclined (required).
- Great problem solving skills
- Valid driver’s licence (required) and a means of getting to and from work (required).
- Able to use precision agriculture technology (e.g., GPS systems and rate controllers) (asset) or able to learn quickly.
- A/Z drivers licences (asset)
