Senior Capacity, Planning & Industrial Systems Manager

The Senior Capacity, Planning & Industrial Systems Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining the Sales & Operations Plan (S&OP;), Master Production Schedule (MPS), and industrial capacity strategy to ensure alignment between customer demand, operational capabilities, and business objectives.

The role serves as a key link between Production, Program Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, and other stakeholders, driving capacity optimization, production flow, ramp-up readiness, and operational performance through data-driven planning, simulation, and continuous improvement.

In this role you will:

- Lead the development and maintenance of the Sales & Operations Planning Cycle across all programs and oversee the Master Production Schedule (MPS).
- Develop long-term capacity plans to support business objectives while ensuring short-term capacity risks are considered and mitigated.
- Ensure load and capacity are aligned to support long term customer delivery, operational efficiency, and inventory objectives.




- Establish and maintain VSMs and capability matrices for all product families and work centers, tracking actual versus maximum capacity in terms of equipment, labor, and critical competencies.
- Implement and maintain standard line balancing methodologies to optimize throughput, labor utilization, inventory balance and manufacturing flow.
- Lead industrial readiness and ramp-up planning through structured phases from capacity assessment to full-rate production.
- Identify risks and opportunities impacting delivery, capacity, cost, and productivity, and develop mitigation plans.
- Develop and maintain operational dashboards and KPI reporting to support decision-making.
- Act as a trusted partner to Production Managers, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Program Managers, and Finance teams.
- Facilitate cross-functional reviews to ensure alignment on demand, capacity, priorities, risks, and recovery plans (S&OP; Cycle, Capacity Plan and Operational Forecasting).
- Lead, coach, and develop team members while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

You have:

- A bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering,



or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of experience in manufacturing, industrial engineering, capacity planning, production planning, or operations management environments.
- Experience in aerospace, defense, composites, or other complex manufacturing environments is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of S&OP;, MPS, Capacity Planning, Industrial Engineering, Line Balancing, Lean Manufacturing, and Shop Floor Control.
- Advanced proficiency with ERP systems, Excel, Power BI, and modeling/simulation tools.
- Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders, drive cross-functional alignment, and translate data into actionable business decisions.
