We are looking for a caring, reliable, and enthusiastic Early Childhood Educator Assistant (ECEA) to join our team as an on-call casual employee starting in October, with opportunities to continue into January.

Responsibilities

- Assist ECEs with providing a safe, caring, and positive environment for children.
- Support children during daily activities, play, meals, outdoor time, and routines.
- Help set up and clean activity areas and maintain a clean and secure classroom.
- Encourage children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
- Follow the centre’s health, safety, and supervision policies.
- Communicate respectfully with children, families, and team members.
- Be available to cover staff absences and occasional shifts as needed.

Qualifications

- ECEA certification in British Columbia, or currently eligible/working toward certification.
- Previous experience working with young children is an asset.
- Current First Aid/CPR certification is an asset.
- Reliable, responsible, patient, and caring.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Clear criminal record check as required.

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary

Pay: $18.50-$20.00 per hour
