MarkIt Signs is looking for a full-time Graphic Designer & Customer Service Specialist to join our team.

We're a busy, locally owned sign shop in Prince Albert, and no two days here look quite the same. One minute you might be laying out graphics for a vehicle wrap, the next you're designing a storefront sign, helping a customer figure out what they actually need, preparing artwork for production, or working with the team to get a rush job out the door.

It's fast-paced, creative, sometimes a little chaotic — and a lot of fun.

What you'll be doing

This is a hybrid design + customer service position.

You'll:

- Create and modify artwork for signs, vehicle graphics, decals, banners and all kinds of custom projects
- Work directly with customers by phone, email and in person
- Take a customer's rough idea and help turn it into something that actually works
- Prepare accurate, production-ready artwork
- Manage multiple jobs and priorities at once
- Communicate with our production and installation team to keep projects moving
- Make decisions and solve everyday problems without needing someone to walk you through every step
- Use AI and other modern tools to make your day-to-day work faster, easier and more efficient
- Jump in and help wherever needed — we're a team, and busy days are definitely a team sport

Who we're looking for





We're less interested in finding someone who checks every single box and more interested in finding the right person.

You should be:

- Excellent with people. Strong customer service experience is very important to us.
- Creative, but practical. You understand that good design also has to work in the real world.
- Fast. This isn't an agency where you spend three days perfecting one concept. We do a lot of quick-turnaround design.
- Independent. We want someone who can make good decisions, solve problems and keep moving.
- Organized. You'll often have several projects on the go at once.
- Comfortable with technology. We specifically want someone who actively uses AI tools and isn't afraid to find better ways of doing things.
- Easy to work with. We're a close team and want someone who contributes to a positive, supportive workplace.
- Willing to learn. The sign industry has a lot of quirks. We don't expect you to know everything on day one.

Design experience

Graphic design experience is required

CorelDRAW experience would be a major asset, since it's a big part of our workflow. Experience with other professional design software is absolutely worth telling us about too.

Experience in the sign, print, wrap or wide-format industry would be fantastic — but isn't required for the right person.

Compensation

$25–$30/hour to start, depending on experience and skill level, with room to grow beyond that.
