As the Youth Program Coordinator at our Teen Tech Center, you'll lead a vibrant space where youth explore technology, creativity, digital media, STEAM, and career pathways while having fun and building skills that can change their lives.
This is more than a program coordinator role. You'll help create experiences that spark curiosity, unlock potential, and connect young people with opportunities they may never have imagined.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
· Lead the day-to-day operations of the Teen Tech Center as Youth Program Coordinator, and create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment.
· Design and deliver engaging, youth-led programs focused on technology, creativity, STEAM, digital media, and hands-on learning.
· Build meaningful relationships with young people, helping them develop skills, confidence, and connections to mentors and future opportunities.
· Partner with schools, families, community organizations, and volunteers to expand opportunities for youth.
· In partnership with your supervisor, recruit, coach, and support staff and volunteers.
· Coordinate special events, showcases, camps, and community activities that celebrate youth achievements.
· Complete administrative functions such as planning, scheduling and record-keeping.
· Track program outcomes and help tell the story of the impact being made every day.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Clear Criminal Record Check (Vulnerable Sector)
- An undergraduate degree or diploma in a relevant field (including community development, child and youth work, education, recreation, social services), or a combination of related training and experience.
- 3+ years of experience working with children or youth in recreation, education, community services, or a related field.
- Experience leading programs, projects, staff, or volunteers.
- A passion for helping young people learn, grow, and succeed.
- Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.
- Interest in technology, digital media, creative learning, or STEAM programs.
- Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends.
