Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Millwright to perform shutdown work in industrial OSB manufacturing environments. This vital role involves executing precise maintenance, repairs, and installations during scheduled plant shutdowns or turnarounds. The ideal candidate will bring strong mechanical and electrical expertise, along with experience in industrial maintenance, to ensure equipment is safely and efficiently brought offline and brought back online. Your proactive approach will help minimize downtime, optimize machinery performance, and uphold safety standards throughout the shutdown process. This job is only for 3 days sept 11-13. fall protection certification is a must. There is a bonus if job is completed early. over time is paid after 8 hrs and for the entire days of 12-13.

Duties

- Plan and execute shutdown maintenance activities on complex machinery and equipment, including turbines, conveyors, pumps, and boilers.
- Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble mechanical systems using schematics, technical manuals, and industry best practices.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure all work aligns with safety protocols and operational procedures.




- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth execution of shutdown tasks while maintaining excellent customer service standards.

Qualifications

- Must be local to Grande Prairie, no LOA
- Proven experience as a millwright with a focus on shutdown work in manufacturing or heavy industry settings.
- Ability to read technical diagrams, schematics, and mechanical drawings accurately.
- Excellent analysis skills for troubleshooting complex machinery issues efficiently.
- Strong communication skills in English to collaborate effectively across teams and document work clearly.
- Safety-conscious mindset with knowledge of industry safety standards and procedures during shutdown operations.
