MAINTENANCE SERVICE ADVISOR

JOB DESCRIPTION:

HR Project Partners is currently accepting resumes for a Maintenance Service Advisor on behalf of our client, Equinox Gold, Valentine Gold Mine. The ideal candidate would have 2 to 3 years of experience with mobile maintenance in a mining environment.

Reporting to the Mobile Maintenance Superintendent, as a Maintenance Service Advisor, your highest priority is the safety and well-being of the mechanical team. In this primarily office-based role, you will coordinate closely with Maintenance Supervision, Pit Dispatch, and Operations to ensure equipment movements, maintenance activities, and communication are managed safely, efficiently, and effectively.

This position is located at the Project site, working on a 2 week in/2 week out rotation.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

- Create and manage work orders as requested by shop and field supervisors, ensuring existing work orders are reviewed first to prevent duplication.
- Review SAP warehouse stock availability when parts are requested and create material requisitions against work orders for stocked items.
- Forward MRF (Material Request Form) details for non-stock parts to Planners in a timely manner, while checking for duplicate requests.
- Maintain a healthy SAP database and develop strong working knowledge of SAP to support maintenance planning and execution.
- Develop, build, and utilize task lists to promote work order consistency, improve planning quality, and support efficient work execution.
- Identify site parts deficiencies affecting the mine fleet and prepare recommendations or stocking requirements to help eliminate recurring downtime.
- Support supervision with the receiving of the weekly schedule and work packages from Planning and distribute them appropriately to support execution.
- Support supervision with the return of completed scheduled work packages to Planning after confirming the work has been completed effectively.
- Prepare labour requisitions for contract labour requirements as needed.




- Support supervision of the Collection and review daily trades timesheets and support paperwork to ensure all documentation is complete and no records are missing.
- Support supervision to maintain accurate and organized filing of completed maintenance documentation and related records.
- Provide radio coverage for supervisors while they are attending meetings or otherwise unavailable.
- Support supervision with the updating of shop and field progress boards in a timely manner to reflect current work status, equipment progress, and priorities.
- Participate in weekly planning meetings to review upcoming work, labour requirements, equipment availability, and maintenance priorities.
- Coordinate with the Technology Group to support the effective use of LinkOA, VIMS Supervisor, MineDash, and other onboard machine data systems.
- Use onboard machine data and reporting tools to assist with maintenance planning, equipment monitoring, troubleshooting, and identification of developing equipment issues.
- Support communication and coordination between Maintenance, Planning, Operations, and Dispatch to help ensure scheduled work is executed efficiently and in accordance with operational requirements.
- Maintain equipment status through MS4M live data system with proper downtime codes.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

- Heavy duty trade, an engineering or a technology diploma is preferred or a considerable amount of experience in a similar role.
- 2-3 years experience with mobile maintenance in a mining setting is required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ATTRIBUTES:

- Provide day-to-day support to the field service mechanical team through communicating clear work scope, and timely coordination of planned and emergent / break-in maintenance activities.
- Develop, review,



and manage break-in work orders to ensure required inspections, servicing, and corrective actions are identified, planned, and completed.
- Coordinate with Mine Operations and Dispatch to request delivery of planned equipment in accordance with the maintenance schedule and operational priorities.
- Confirm equipment availability, arrival times, and service windows with Operations to minimize delays and maximize maintenance efficiency.
- Support Supervision and Planning with ensuring work orders are accurate, complete, and properly prioritized, including scope of work & workorders, parts requirements, and relevant machine history.
- Communicate equipment status, maintenance priorities, and schedule changes clearly between the mechanical team, planners, supervisors, and Mine Operations.
- Support the execution of planned maintenance in a manner that reduces unplanned downtime, repeat repairs, and schedule disruptions.
- Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring hazards, job steps, and required controls are identified and understood before work begins.
- A valid driver’s license and drivers abstract required.
