Radium North Inc. is a growing industrial services and construction company providing quality workmanship and innovative solutions across Alberta's energy and industrial sectors. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) to join our team in Fort McMurray.
This position will play a key role in managing the company's financial operations, ensuring compliance, supporting strategic decision-making, and contributing to the continued growth of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Oversee general accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Prepare budget forecasts and financial reporting packages.
- Monitor cash flow and assist with financial planning.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and corporate policies.
- Coordinate with external auditors, accountants, and regulatory agencies.
- Review and prepare GST filings and other government reporting requirements.
- Develop and improve internal controls and financial processes.
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to senior management.
- Support project costing, job costing, and profitability analysis.
Qualifications
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation required.
- Minimum 3-5 years of accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Experience with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Experience in construction, industrial services, or project-based accounting is considered a strong asset.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
