Job Summary

Are you a people person with a knack for multitasking and a love for mountain life? As a Raven Cashier, you’ll be the friendly face that welcomes guests to the Nordic Centre and helps them gear up for their snowy adventures. Whether it’s selling trail passes, booking lessons, or recommending the perfect toque from our retail shelves, you’ll be the go-to expert for all things Nordic. You’ll juggle phones, emails,



and POS systems like a pro—all while keeping the vibe upbeat and the lodge running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

- Greeting guests warmly and assist with purchases including Nordic tickets, rentals, merchandise, lessons, and tours.
- Match guests with the right lessons and activities based on their skill level and interests.
- Upsell packages and products by sharing your knowledge and enthusiasm.
- Answer phones and emails professionally and efficiently.
- Dispense tickets, vouchers, and rental forms with accuracy.

- Operate the POS system and handle cash transactions with precision.
- Balance tills and complete daily cash procedures.
- Keep track of retail stock and notify supervisors when supplies are running low.

- Keep the retail area tidy, well-stocked, and visually appealing.
- Participate in product knowledge sessions to stay up-to-date on merchandise and lesson availability.
- Help with general lodge upkeep including cleaning, filing, and light maintenance.

- Be a source of resort info—know your way around the Nordic trail network, Biathlon Range, Tube Park, and Alpine area.
- Be ready to switch roles or locations depending on guest volume and weather.
- Support other areas of the resort, including outdoor operations, when needed.
- Help ensure the safety and security of Raven Lodge by following all safety procedures.

Qualifications:





- Previous cashier or customer service experience is a bonus.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, professional attitude.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable sitting or standing for extended periods.
- Physically capable of light lifting and repetitive motions.
- Serving It Right and Food Safe certifications are assets.
- POS and WHMIS experience are also great to have.
- Must be a team player who can work independently when needed.
- Schedule flexibility is a big plus—especially during holidays and busy weekends.
- Willingness to assist in other departments like Rentals, Retail, or Outdoor Ops.

You’ll get to experience a variety of unique locations, from cozy lodges to scenic mountain-top venues only accessible by chairlift. Be prepared to embrace the elements; whether it's bluebird skies, fresh snowfall, or the infamous coastal rain. Expect to navigate multi-level lodges, steep stairways, and outdoor areas where the terrain can be sloped, snowy, or slippery, so good footwear is essential, indoors and out.
