Company Profile:

Brownlee Water Quality Management is a family operation that has been in business for over 20 years, serving, small non-municipal drinking water systems and designated systems that fall under Ontario Regulation 170/03 of the Safe Drinking Water Act of 2022. We are responsible for sampling, monitoring and documentation of water systems to maintain compliance with the Ontario Safe Drinking Water Act. In addition, Brownlee installs water treatment equipment as required to provide clients with quality water.

Job Description:

Small Drinking Water Operator:

As a Small Drinking Water Operator, you will be required to carry out testing and sampling of drinking water systems, install, maintain, trouble shoot, repair and monitor equipment. Administration duties in the office are also required.

The job we do is very niche and therefore on the job training would be necessary for this position along with certification to meet Ministry Regulations.

Experience is preferred but not essential as training will be given.

- Administrative duties, include, completing paperwork and documents to support operations.
- Knowledge of the "Safe Drinking Water Act" and its regulations is beneficial.
- Some knowledge of drinking water systems and plumbing requirements is preferred but not essential.

The ideal candidate should be able to work independently as well within a small team. They should also be task oriented but have the ability to trouble shoot and problem solve, therefore strong organizational skills is necessary.





Job Requirements:

- Must have High School Diploma. (Essential)
- Must be eligible for Canadian Security Clearance
- Must have Valid G drivers license in Ontario with a clean driving record is required (over 25 years old preferred due to insurance purposes)
- Must be able to communicate professionally and effectively both orally and written with clients.
- Must be able to lift and carry heavy bags (25lbs- 50lbs)
- Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset but not required
- Occupational Health and Safety, and WHMIS training will be needed
- Knowledge and experience with MS office is an asset

Work week:

- Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 4.30pm (34 hours/week)
- Additional work on Fridays may be needed as business requires.
- On-Call - (Additional hourly pay for scheduled week on-call, includes weekends & evenings for Emergency Call-Outs)
- Full Time Permanent (3 month probation period)
- Health Advantages and Dental (3 month probation period)
- Paid Holiday's (3 month probation period)
- Pay Range of $24-$28 (based on Walkerton/OWWCO drinking water qualifications and previous experience)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $24.00-$28.00 per hour
