Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented DEXA Scan Operator to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating Dual-Energy X-ray Absorptiometry (DEXA) scanners to assess bone density and body composition, supporting physicians, chiropractors, and other healthcare professionals in delivering accurate diagnostic services. Your expertise will help guide treatment plans and improve patient outcomes. Responsibilities

- Prepare patients for DEXA scans by explaining procedures clearly and ensuring proper positioning for accurate results
- Operate DEXA imaging equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety protocols and technical guidelines
- Maintain detailed records of each scan, including patient information, technical parameters, and observations
- Assist healthcare providers by providing high-quality images and preliminary data for review
- Ensure the cleanliness and proper maintenance of the scanning equipment to guarantee optimal performance
- Follow all infection control procedures and safety standards throughout the scanning process




- Educate patients on post-scan care or follow-up steps as needed to enhance their understanding and comfort

Requirements

- Must hold a valid CMRITO license, medical license or chiropractor license.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to bone density testing and body composition analysis
- Excellent communication skills to explain procedures clearly and answer patient questions effectively
- Ability to maintain meticulous records and handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality
- Certification or training in radiation safety practices is preferred but not required
- A proactive attitude with keen attention to detail and a commitment to patient safety
- Flexibility to work varied shifts as needed in a fast-paced healthcare environment

Pay: $45.00-$55.00 per hour
