Job Overview:
Laptop & PC Technician – Repair Division
We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Laptop & PC Technician to join our Business Service Centre and lead our Repair Division. The ideal candidate will have robust technical knowledge, hands-on hardware repair experience, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to end-users for hardware and software-related issues.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical problems with laptops, desktops, and other computing devices.
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot operating systems and desktop applications.
- Provide software support and guide customers on application usage and functionality.
- Perform hardware repairs, including power supply, keyboard, screen/display, battery, and other component replacements.
- Conduct system upgrades, hardware replacements, and performance improvements.
- Ensure appropriate data security, backup, and privacy measures are followed during repairs and upgrades.
- Diagnose hardware and software faults and recommend appropriate repair or replacement solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, services, and customer requests.
- Provide friendly, professional, and customer-oriented service throughout the repair process.
- Assist with general operations and customer services within the Business Service Centre as required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience in a Laptop/PC Technician, IT Support, or Technical Support role.
- Strong hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing laptops and desktop computers.
- Knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, software applications, and system configuration.
- Experience with hardware component replacement, including screens, keyboards, batteries, power supplies, and related components.
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to explain technical issues and solutions clearly to customers.
- Customer-service oriented, reliable, and professional.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a qualified, dependable, and customer-focused technician who can take ownership of the Repair Division while also supporting the day-to-day needs of our Business Service Centre.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.60-$25.00 per hour
Flexible language requirement:
- French not required
Experience:
- IT support: 2 years (preferred)
