Duties

- Thoroughly clean and sanitize dishes, glasses, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen tools using proper food handling procedures
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen surfaces, including counters, sinks, and workstations, adhering to health and safety standards
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed to support the kitchen staff
- Ensure all dishware and kitchen equipment are stored properly after cleaning to promote efficiency and safety
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies need replenishing




- Follow established sanitation protocols to prevent cross-contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations
- Support the overall cleanliness of the restaurant or hotel dining area by assisting with waste disposal and organizing storage areas

Skills

- Proven experience in cleaning or dishwashing within a restaurant, hotel, or food service environment
- Strong understanding of food handling safety standards and sanitation practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with culinary staff and management
- Prior experience in food preparation or cooking is a plus but not required
- Demonstrated reliability with punctuality and a positive attitude toward hospitality service
