Rez Glass Industries is seeking an experienced Glass Manufacturing Machine Technician to join our production team. This position requires hands-on experience operating, setting up, troubleshooting, and maintaining automated glass-processing equipment.
Previous experience in glass manufacturing is required and will be a major determining factor in the successful candidate’s pay rate.
- Operate and set up glass-processing machinery safely and efficiently
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and operational issues
- Perform routine preventative maintenance, inspections, and adjustments
- Troubleshoot machine errors and minimize production downtime
- Read production drawings, glass specifications, and work orders
- Monitor finished products for dimensional accuracy and quality
- Replace tooling and consumable components when required
- Maintain accurate maintenance and service records
- Coordinate with production management to improve output and efficiency
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and glass-handling practices
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications
- Previous experience with glass manufacturing machinery is required
- Experience with CNC equipment, edge polishers, drilling machines, lamination equipment, tempering furnaces, or IGU production is strongly preferred
- Strong mechanical and technical troubleshooting abilities
- Understanding of electrical and pneumatic systems is an asset
- Ability to read technical drawings, measurements, and production specifications
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Ability to work independently and as part of a production team
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
- Ability to lift and handle materials safely in a manufacturing environment
Compensation
Competitive hourly compensation based on the candidate’s experience, technical knowledge, and familiarity with glass-processing equipment. Candidates with extensive experience operating and maintaining the machinery listed above will be considered for a higher pay rate.
