Driver / Mover

Are you hardworking, reliable, physically active and ready to be part of a great team?

Ellis Moving & Storage is looking for motivated Drivers and Movers to join our crew.

This isn’t a desk job. You’ll be on the move, working with your team, solving problems and helping customers through one of the biggest transitions in their lives.

We’re looking for people who show up on time, work hard, treat customers and coworkers with respect, and aren’t afraid of a physically demanding day.

Moving experience is an asset — but a great attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn are just as important.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Driving moving trucks between our facility and customer locations
- Loading and unloading household and commercial goods
- Safely handling furniture,



boxes and specialty items
- Wrapping and protecting furniture using moving blankets and stretch wrap
- Disassembling and reassembling furniture when required
- Using hand tools, drills and basic moving equipment
- Protecting customers’ homes, businesses and belongings
- Working closely with your crew to complete moves safely and efficiently
- Communicating professionally with customers throughout their move
- Maintaining a clean, organized and safe truck and work environment
- Assisting with warehouse and storage work when required

For Driver Positions:

- Valid driver’s licence required
- Experience driving 3-ton or 5-ton moving trucks is a solid asset
- Commercial truck or moving industry experience is preferred

Qualifications

- Proven experience in moving services, warehouse work, or commercial driving preferred
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driver’s license (CDL) is a plus
- Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification is advantageous but not required (training provided if needed)
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy objects repeatedly throughout the day
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members
- Prior experience in customer service is highly desirable
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy lifting, driving, and warehouse operations

Pay: $23.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 50.0 per week
