Intermediate/Senior Commercial Real Estate Paralegal - #5171
Our client is seeking an experienced Intermediate/Senior Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to join its busy Commercial Real Estate practice. Responsibilities
- Manage commercial real estate acquisitions and sales, including preparing and coordinating closing agendas, closing documentation, and closing books.
- Handle land assembly and subdivision matters, including preparing Section 219 Covenants, easements, rights of way, undertaking letters, and complex Land Title Office registrations.
- Prepare mortgages and related security documentation for lender and borrower financing transactions.
- Coordinate bulk strata lot closings for new developments, including preparing information packages and all required closing documentation.
- Conduct real estate due diligence searches and prepare related reporting.
- Review and interpret purchase and sale agreements.
- Liaise with sales centres,
purchasers' solicitors, clients, realtors, and other stakeholders throughout transactions.
- Ensure compliance with LOTA and Property Transfer Tax (PTT) reporting requirements.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Paralegal Studies or equivalent commercial real estate experience.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Commercial Real Estate Paralegal within a law firm.
- Ability to prioritize workload, work independently, and manage multiple files with minimal supervision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong computer skills, including experience with commercial real estate software, myLTSA, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe.
Compensation & Benefits
- Annual salary of $125,000–$145,000, depending on experience.
