Piano Teacher – Multiple Levels (Beginner to Advanced)

Blue Moon Academy is seeking a passionate, skilled, and versatile Piano Teacher to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in piano pedagogy, Music Theory, and the ability to teach students of varying ages and skill levels, from beginner and intermediate to advanced RCM level students.

We are looking for an educator who is confident in adapting their teaching approach to meet individual student needs, whether working with young beginners or guiding advanced students through technique refinement, repertoire development, and exam preparation. Blue Moon Academy is committed to fostering a positive, supportive, and inspiring learning environment for all students.

Candidates with a music degree and/or Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) certification will be given priority.

Key Responsibilities

- Teach piano lessons to students at beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels
- Teach music theory classes, including RCM theory, tailored to students’ levels and goals
- Prepare students for RCM examinations, performances, and recitals, when applicable
- Develop customized lesson plans that support technical growth, musicality, and confidence
- Adapt teaching strategies to suit different learning styles, ages, and skill levels
- Create a supportive,



motivating classroom environment that encourages musical growth
- Communicate effectively with students and parents regarding progress and goals

Requirements

- Genuine passion for music education and student development across all skill levels
- Strong knowledge of piano technique, repertoire, and pedagogy
- Ability to teach and mentor intermediate and advanced students, including exam preparation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Creativity and adaptability in lesson planning
- Degree in Music, Music Education, or RCM certification (Required)
- Teaching experience in a private or academy setting (Required)
