Lead strategic growth for a 50-year restoration powerhouse ready to dominate the next decade.

Paul Davis Canada is hiring a VP of Strategic Growth. This is a newly created executive role that combines sales leadership, strategic partnership development, and player-coach execution. You'll lead a national sales team while personally hunting transformational deals that define Paul Davis's next decade.

THE WHO: Paul Davis is Canada's most trusted name in restoration and reconstruction – nearly 400 locations across North America, 50+ years of market leadership, and a mission that matters. When disaster strikes (floods, fires, storms, mold), Paul Davis shows up. Families get back in their homes. Businesses reopen. Communities recover. This isn't just restoration work – it's restoring lives.

THE WHAT: You'll lead Paul Davis Canada's national sales team (5 professionals across the country) while simultaneously serving as a player-coach hunting $2M+ in strategic commercial revenue. Think: managing, coaching, and developing your team Monday through Wednesday, then closing a transformational partnership with a national REIT on Thursday. You'll set the strategy, build the playbook, lead the team, and execute the biggest deals yourself.

MUST HAVES: We need an elite sales leader who's built and managed high-performing teams (5-10+ people) while maintaining their own book of business. You've led people to quota, coached struggling reps to success, made tough personnel decisions, and personally closed complex, multi-stakeholder deals. You understand franchise or multi-location business models where influence matters more than authority. You've worked in service-based B2B industries (restoration, construction, property management, insurance, facilities management, commercial real estate) and know how to navigate long sales cycles with senior decision-makers.

THE WHY: The Canadian restoration market is massive and growing – driven by climate change (more severe weather), aging infrastructure, insurance evolution, and commercial property expansion. Paul Davis has the brand, the footprint, the operational excellence, and the financial backing. What they're building now is the sales leadership and strategic architecture to dominate the next decade. This VP role is the linchpin – the leader who transforms how Paul Davis goes to market, develops talent, and captures market share.

THE WHERE: This is a remote role based anywhere in Canada with strong preference for Ontario (Toronto, Ottawa, or surrounding areas) for easier access to headquarters, franchise locations, and commercial client concentration. Expect 50% travel – franchise visits, client meetings, industry conferences, team offsites, and Paul Davis events across Canada (with occasional U.S. travel).

THE HOW: Three strategic priorities will define your success in the first 12-24 months:

- Sales Team Leadership & Performance: Build a high-performing, accountable sales culture across your 5-person national team. Implement CRM discipline (Luxor), establish clear KPIs and activity metrics, coach to quota, drive consistent pipeline growth, and transform the team from "lone wolves" to collaborative hunters who share wins and best practices.
- Strategic Partnership Development: Personally hunt and close transformational partnerships that create competitive advantage – national insurance carriers, property management firms, REITs, commercial real estate organizations, and strategic referral channels. Build C-level relationships that generate $2M+ in new commercial revenue while establishing partnership models the sales team can replicate.
- Franchise Network Alignment: Work with 18+ franchise owners across Canada to align sales strategies, share best practices, and build consensus around growth initiatives. Coach franchise owners (many of whom are operators, not salespeople) on commercial business development while respecting their entrepreneurial independence and local market knowledge.

THE NUTS & BOLTS: Base salary of $130,000 - $160,000 CAD plus performance bonus tied to team revenue achievement and personal deal closure. Comprehensive benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, RRSP matching, generous PTO, professional development budget, and vehicle allowance.

THE COMPANY & TEAM

Picture this: A homeowner's basement floods at 2 AM. A restaurant kitchen catches fire during dinner rush. A 20-story commercial building experiences catastrophic water damage, displacing hundreds of tenants and employees.

Paul Davis shows up.

For over 50 years, Paul Davis has been the trusted name when disaster strikes. Nearly 400 locations across North America. Thousands of professionals who understand they're not just restoring property – they're restoring lives, livelihoods, and communities. Part of FirstService Corporation (a global leader in real estate services), Paul Davis combines the stability and resources of a major organization with the entrepreneurial spirit of a franchise network.

This is the restoration industry at its finest – stable, recession-proof, essential, and deeply mission-driven. When people are having their worst day, Paul Davis is the calm in the storm, the expertise in the chaos, and the partner that makes whole what was broken.

But here's where it gets exciting:

Paul Davis Canada isn't maintaining market leadership – they're aggressively expanding it. New executive leadership with strategic vision. Fresh investment in sales capability and commercial growth. A franchise network of motivated owners ready to evolve. Corporate-owned locations setting new performance standards. And a recognition that the next decade of dominance requires a different approach to sales leadership, partnership development, and market positioning.

The Canadian market opportunity is massive:

Canada's restoration industry is projected for sustained growth driven by:

- Climate change impacts – increased frequency and severity of weather events (flooding, wildfires, severe storms)
- Aging infrastructure – older buildings requiring more frequent emergency response and restoration
- Insurance industry evolution – carriers seeking trusted partners who can handle complex commercial claims
- Commercial property expansion – growing demand for reliable restoration services from REITs, property managers, and facility directors

Paul Davis has the brand recognition, operational excellence, geographic footprint, and financial backing. What they're building now is the sales organization and strategic partnerships to capture exponential growth.

The culture? It's genuinely special.

There's pride in wearing the Paul Davis polo – everyone on the team understands they serve communities during crisis. Servant leadership runs deep. Empathy and competence go hand-in-hand. The franchise model creates an entrepreneurial dynamic where independent owners bring local market expertise while corporate provides systems, support, and strategic direction.

You'll join a leadership team that values both heritage and innovation – honoring the foundation while being unafraid to evolve. A culture that respects the "lone wolf" sales mentality of the past while building the collaborative, accountable, data-driven sales culture of the future.

This is established enough for stability (50+ years, FirstService backing, proven business model) yet entrepreneurial enough for impact (new role, hungry franchise owners, untapped commercial potential, executive-level autonomy).

A CAREER-DEFINING OPPORTUNITY FOR A PROVEN SALES LEADERYOUR DNA

You're a sales leader who still sells. You've managed teams (5-15 reps) and hit quota yourself. You know the difference between coaching from the sidelines vs. leading from the front. Your team respects you because you can do everything you ask of them – and do it better. You're equally comfortable reviewing pipeline on Monday, coaching a struggling rep on Tuesday, and closing a $500K deal on Wednesday.

You build A-player sales cultures. You've hired, developed, and fired salespeople. You know how to set clear expectations, create accountability without micromanagement, and celebrate wins while addressing performance gaps quickly. You've turned mediocre performers into quota crushers and made the hard call to exit people who weren't cutting it. Your former team members still text you for advice.

You're a strategic hunter, not just a manager. You can spot a partnership opportunity three moves ahead. That REIT expansion everyone else missed? You saw it in Q1 and closed it by Q3. You build relationships at the C-suite level – with VPs of Facilities, Risk Managers, Property Directors, and Insurance Executives – because you speak their language: ROI, risk mitigation, business continuity, and total cost of ownership.

You understand franchise dynamics. You've worked in multi-location, distributed, or franchise environments where success depends on influence, not authority. You know how to get independent business owners (who don't report to you) excited about corporate strategies by showing them the money, respecting their local expertise, and building trust through results.

You're a data-driven closer. You live in your CRM. You know your conversion rates, average deal size, sales cycle length, and pipeline velocity without checking a dashboard. You forecast accurately. You hold your team to activity metrics because you know the math: X calls + Y meetings = Z closed deals. But you're not a robot – you balance metrics with relationship intuition and know when to break the rules to close the big one.

You thrive in complexity and ambiguity. Multi-provincial sales strategies across diverse franchise locations don't intimidate you – they energize you. You can think nationally (partnership with a national insurance carrier) while executing locally (ensuring 18 franchise owners can deliver on the promise). You toggle between strategic vision and tactical execution without losing momentum.

You bring the energy and the grit. You're the sales leader who pumps up the team on Monday calls, celebrates wins publicly, and coaches performance issues privately. You travel relentlessly without complaining. You respond to franchise owners at 8 PM because you know they're working late too. You're comfortable with rejection (most partnerships say no initially) and you see obstacles as puzzles to solve, not reasons to quit.

You lead with integrity and mission. Paul Davis's work – helping families and businesses recover from devastating losses – resonates with you. You're not just chasing quota. You're building something meaningful. Your team knows you care about their success as much as the company's numbers.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

The VP of Strategic Growth is Paul Davis Canada's sales architect, team builder, and deal closer rolled into one executive role. You'll lead the national sales organization while personally hunting the transformational partnerships that competitors can't match.

This isn't a typical VP role where you manage from behind a desk. You're 50% sales leader (coaching team, driving accountability, building systems) and 50% player-coach (hunting strategic deals, building C-level partnerships, closing big revenue). The person who succeeds here will be equally energized by both.
