This role is responsible for providing timely and effective mechanical support to repair, maintain, and optimize manufacturing, packaging, and facility equipment. The Maintenance Mechanic will collaborate closely with production teams, set-up mechanics, facility technicians, electricians, and operators to ensure minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.

Responsibilities

- Diagnose equipment malfunctions and troubleshoot issues to perform necessary repairs.
- Set up, operate, and maintain machine shop equipment.
- Manufacture replacement parts and modify existing components to precise specifications.
- Fabricate tools, jigs, and fixtures using various materials.
- Work from prints, schematics, and machine shop manuals to complete tasks accurately.
- Rebuild production equipment as needed to restore functionality.
- Perform preventative maintenance on production and facility equipment to avoid breakdowns.
- Assemble, fabricate, and install equipment modifications, cost-saving projects, and new production line layouts.




- Apply rigging techniques to safely handle heavy equipment and components.
- Utilize knowledge of pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, and sheet metal work to resolve issues.
- Adhere to cGMP guidelines and safety regulations in all tasks.

Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification in a related trade, such as Millwright, Machinist, Mechanical Technician, Technologist, or Electro-Mechanical Diploma.
- Experience in mechanical repair, maintenance, or a related field is an asset.
- Proficiency in rigging, welding, and working with pumps, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Ability to read and interpret prints, schematics, and manuals.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of cGMP guidelines and safety regulations.
- Experience with PC-based software, including Word, Excel, and CMMS.
- Able to lift heavy objects and perform manual tasks.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

Pay: $35.00-$44.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
