Job Overview
We are seeking a Commercial Concrete Estimator to join our growing team. We are open to candidates at different experience levels — from a recent graduate looking to start a career in construction estimating to an experienced estimator with a background in concrete or commercial construction.

The successful candidate will assist with reviewing project documents, completing takeoffs, preparing accurate cost estimates, and supporting the bidding process. Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

- Review drawings, specs, and site conditions to prepare detailed concrete estimates
- Perform takeoffs for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs
- Prepare proposals, RFQs, and bid packages for commercial jobs
- Communicate clearly with suppliers and subcontractors for accurate pricing
- Follow up on submitted quotes and maintain consistent communication with prospective customers
- Communicate effectively and confidently with customers to answer questions, discuss project scope, and support the sales process
- Collaborate with the project team to ensure alignment on scope and timelines
- Track and maintain a pipeline of bids and awarded projects
- Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as required

Qualifications





- Diploma or degree in Construction Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or a related field is an asset
- Knowledge of commercial concrete flatwork is an asset
- Able to read construction drawings, or willing to learn
- Robust computer skills, including Microsoft Excel
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deadlines
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated with a high level of attention to detail
- Willingness to learn our estimating process, pricing, and concrete scopes of work
- Previous estimating, construction, or concrete experience is an asset, but not required
- Knowledge of Bluebeam software is an asset

We are willing to train a motivated candidate who has the right aptitude and is interested in building a career in construction estimating.

Compensation will be discussed during the interview and is based on experience and fit for the role.
