Are you someone who loves animals, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in being reliable and proactive? Peace Arch Veterinary Hospital is looking for a Veterinary Assistant / Veterinary Office Assistant (VOA) to join our team.

We’re looking for someone with open availability who is responsible, mature, enthusiastic, and eager to learn. Veterinary experience is an asset, but it is not required—we are happy to train the right person who has a great attitude and a strong work ethic.

What You'll Do

- Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures.
- Safely handle and restrain animals, including some patients that may be fearful or aggressive.
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms and treatment areas.
- Assist with laboratory procedures and sample collection.
- Monitor and accurately record patient information and vital signs.
- Support client care by providing friendly, professional customer service.
- Help keep the hospital clean, organized, and running efficiently.

What We're Looking For

- Open availability (weekdays, evenings, and weekends as needed).




- Must be 18 years of age or older due to X-ray safety regulations.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to take initiative.
- Compassionate and confident working with animals of all sizes and temperaments.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a busy, fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Veterinary clinic experience is an asset, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are just as important.

Salary

- Salary is negotiable based on experience and performance.
- Salary and performance will be reviewed after the 3-month probation period.
