Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Hair Stylist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio of current work, 5+ years of experience, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Hair Stylist, you will be responsible for creating beautiful hairstyles that enhance our clients' appearance while ensuring a welcoming and professional atmosphere in the salon. We are an Aveda salon that also carries the Aveda color line, Colorspace color line, and Aveda, Kerastase and BOB retail items. We offer the Aveda Ayurveda wellness rituals to every guest and believe in a holistic and relaxing luxury experience for all guests to our salon.

Responsibilities

- Provide a variety of hair styling services, including cuts, colors, and treatments tailored to client preferences.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide personalized recommendations.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations and tools in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Upsell salon products and services to enhance the client experience and meet sales goals.
- Assist with front desk duties, including scheduling appointments, managing client records, and processing payments.
- Deliver outstanding customer service by creating a friendly and inviting setting for clients.
- Stay updated through continued education on the latest trends in hair styling techniques and products to provide clients with innovative options.



A minimum of 4 hands on trainings required per year and in house salon training and coaching is provided for all team members.

Qualifications

- Valid cosmetology license or certification.
- Proven experience in hair styling with a strong portfolio showcasing your work. Please provide social media hair page in your resume.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with clients and understand their needs.
- Ability to upsell products and services while maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Experience with front desk operations is a plus but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on creating positive client experiences.
- Knowledge of sanitation practices related to hair styling tools and equipment.
- **Please note hairstylist is no longer a primary NOC code for the RCIP program. Secondary NOC are only approved on case by case basis and you must be able to provide a minimum of 90points on your scoring if approved.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.25-$55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
