Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to handle heavy lifting as well as operate warehouse equipment.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload products, ensuring proper handling and care during transit.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including tracking shipments and obtaining signatures.
- Assist in warehouse operations when not on delivery routes, including inventory management and organization.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety compliance.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize delivery routes and improve efficiency.
Experience
- Previous experience in commercial driving or delivery services is preferred.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations, including heavy lifting and equipment handling (forklift experience is a plus).
- Solid customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Ability to work independently while also being a team player.
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience in moving or logistics is advantageous.
