POSITION: Plant Engineer

DURATION: Full-time permanent position

LOCATION: Scarborough, ON

SALARY: $95,000 – $105,000 per Year (depending on experience)

We’re hiring a Plant Engineer to support operations at our heavy industrial manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on role where you’ll work directly with plant systems, equipment, and contractors to keep production reliable, safe, and efficient.

Responsibilities:

- Lead and support plant projects, shutdowns, and turnarounds.
- Troubleshoot and optimize equipment and processes to boost reliability and efficiency.
- Provide technical guidance for maintenance and operations teams.
- Work with pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, cogeneration, HVAC, refrigeration (ammonia/glycol), and utilities.
- Drive energy management, cost reduction, and sustainability initiatives.
- Ensure all work complies with safety and environmental standards.




- Be available for occasional after-hours support during production issues or shutdowns.

Requirements:

- Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
- P.Eng. (or working toward licensure) in Ontario.
- Minimum 3–5 years of plant engineering experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing setting (chemical, petrochemical, or similar).
- Experience working in hazardous environments is an asset.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of steam/condensate systems, power distribution, MCCs, VFDs, and low/high voltage systems.
- Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and ERP systems (e.g., JDE).
- Robust communication and teamwork skills.

Pay: $95,000.00-$105,000.00 per year
