Sanitation Worker – Industrial Bakery (Mississauga, ON)

Staff Plus is hiring experienced Sanitation Workers for a well-established industrial bakery in Mississauga.

This is a hands-on food manufacturing sanitation position involving deep cleaning of production areas and bakery equipment. Candidates must have previous industrial sanitation experience and be comfortable with physically demanding cleaning work in a food production environment.

Pay Rate: $22.65/hour

Location: Mississauga, ON

Shifts Available:

- Morning Shift: 6:00am - 2:30pm
- Afternoon Shift: 2:00pm - 10:30pm
- Night Shift: 10:00pm - 6:30am

*Weekend availability is required based on production needs.

Shift Premiums:

- Night premium: Additional $1.00/hour for hours worked between 11:00 PM and 7:00 AM
- Weekend premium: Additional $2.00/hour for hours worked between 7:00 AM Saturday and 7:00 AM Monday

Key Responsibilities

- Clean and sanitize bakery production areas, floors, walls, ceilings, change rooms, warehouse areas, freezers and refrigerators.
- Clean and sanitize production and packaging lines according to required food safety and sanitation standards.
- Disassemble, clean and reassemble production equipment, including ovens, mixers, proofers, refrigeration coils and fans.
- Use scrapers, brushes, pads, industrial vacuums, scrub machines, compressed air and other sanitation equipment.
- Remove food residue, debris and other buildup from equipment and production areas.
- Collect,



sort and dispose of garbage and recyclable materials.
- Complete sanitation work thoroughly to ensure equipment and production areas are ready for food production.
- Follow all workplace health, safety, food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the shift.

Requirements

- Minimum 1 year of industrial sanitation experience.
- Previous sanitation experience in a food manufacturing, bakery, food processing or production facility is strongly preferred.
- Experience cleaning production machinery or industrial equipment.
- Comfortable disassembling and reassembling equipment for cleaning.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in different areas of a food plant, including refrigerated and freezer environments.
- Flexible availability for 8-hour shifts and weekend work as required.
- Able to follow sanitation procedures and complete detailed cleaning tasks with minimal supervision.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and work full time hours as required by this position
