Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and friendly Barista to join us at our new downtown location at 740 Hamilton Street. In this role, you will be the face of our establishment, creating a welcoming atmosphere for every guest while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. Your enthusiasm, attention to detail, and commitment to excellent customer service will ensure a memorable experience for all visitors. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in the food industry while working in a fast-paced, lively environment.

Duties

- Open and close each Saturday and Sunday
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems (Shopify) to process customer transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including food preparation stations and dining spaces.
- Ensure food safety standards are met by following proper handling, storage, and sanitation procedures.




- Handle sandwich and baked positive food preparation tasks
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly, answering questions, and addressing concerns promptly.

Qualifications

- Previous barista experience or food service experience is a must.
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus.
- Strong time management skills to handle busy periods effectively.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures.
- Capable of standing for extended periods, multitasking efficiently, and working as part of a team.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
