Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to inspire and guide students in developing their language skills. Responsibilities
- Design and deliver dynamic lessons that cater to various proficiency levels in English, incorporating interactive activities and multimedia resources
- Assess student progress regularly through assignments, quizzes, and informal evaluations, providing constructive feedback to support growth
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of students with diverse backgrounds, including those with disabilities or special education requirements
- Maintain a positive classroom setting that encourages participation, respect, and collaboration among students
- Utilize technology tools such as Microsoft Office and other educational software to enhance lesson delivery and administrative tasks
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum plans, share best practices, and ensure consistency across programs
- Manage classroom time effectively to cover curriculum content while fostering an engaging learning experience
Qualifications
- Proven experience in teaching English or tutoring in classroom settings, preferably with children or early childhood education backgrounds
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities such as French are highly valued
- Knowledge of math concepts can be beneficial for integrated lesson planning
- Familiarity with special education strategies and experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple classes and administrative duties efficiently
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications and online educational platforms
- Demonstrated ability to work well under time management constraints while maintaining high-quality instruction
- Writing skills that support curriculum development, lesson planning, and student assessments
- ESL training or related certificate is needed
- ECE/ECEA is a plus
