Electrical Estimator

This position is based in Vancouver, BC, but remote work may be available to qualified candidates who meet all required credentials and eligibility requirements.

Our Vancouver client, a trusted premier electrical contractor to many lower mainland builders, commercial contractors, property managers and home and business owners, is recruiting for an Electrical Estimator

Reporting to the General Manager, the Electrical Estimator will calculate the total cost of materials, labor, equipment, and permits required for commercial, residential, or industrial electrical installations. They will analyze blueprints, solicit subcontractor quotes, and prepare competitive project bids to ensure profitability. This is a mid–senior level, production-focused estimating role within a structured commercial construction environment. It requires someone who is highly independent, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple bids with a robust focus on accuracy and execution.

Key Responsibilities

- Review architectural and electrical drawings to evaluate scope, layout, and code requirements.




- Determine exact quantities and costs for wiring, fixtures, panels, and specialized equipment.
- Calculate hours and workforce requirements needed to complete the installation safely and efficiently.
- Source competitive pricing from suppliers and evaluate external bids.
- Assemble final cost proposals, manage risk analysis, and present figures to management.
- Keep cost databases updated to reflect market fluctuations in material prices and labor rates

Qualifications & Skills

- 5 – 10 years of electrical estimating experience
- Project values typically $100k - $5m
- Strong Accubid experience is required
- Ability to interpret drawings, identify scope gaps and manage multiple bids
