Responsibilities:
- Perform vascular ultrasound examinations to assess blood flow and detect abnormalities
- Set up and adjust ultrasound equipment to obtain high-quality images
- Explain procedures to patients and answer any questions they may have
- Record and analyze test results, prepare reports for physicians
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis
- Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
Skills:
- Proficient in operating vascular ultrasound equipment and software
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to the vascular system
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately interpret ultrasound images
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Robust problem-solving skills to identify and troubleshoot technical issues
Note: Medical terminology is a skill required for this position.
This role requires a high level of technical expertise in performing vascular ultrasound examinations. The Vascular Technologist will play a crucial role in assisting physicians in diagnosing and treating patients with vascular conditions. The successful candidate will possess strong technical skills, knowledge of medical terminology, and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
