Our client is a growing and innovative organization specializing in advanced PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) coating technologies. The company is recognized for its expertise in advanced coating solutions, including the design and development of proprietary coating equipment and in-house research and development focused on introducing new coating technologies to the market.

Our client is seeking a technically minded and customer-focused Technical Sales Specialist to join their growing team. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in metal manufacturing and a strong understanding of industrial production processes, surface treatments, and coating applications.

The successful candidate will work closely with customers and internal technical and management teams to understand application requirements, provide technical support, assist with troubleshooting and testing, and help identify opportunities to expand the company's customer base and coating applications.

Key Responsibilities:

- Work directly with customers to understand their technical requirements, manufacturing processes, and application challenges.
- Provide technical support and guidance related to PVD coatings and their applications.
- Review and interpret technical and engineering drawings to understand customer requirements, component specifications, dimensions, tolerances, and coating applications.
- Support the testing, troubleshooting, and development of PVD coating solutions for specific customer applications.
- Assist in developing application-specific case studies and technical solutions.
- Work closely with internal technical and management teams to identify and resolve coating- or process-related issues.
- Communicate technical information and the company's value proposition through technical documentation, customer training, product demonstrations, and presentations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers while identifying opportunities to expand business within existing accounts.
- Identify new business opportunities and potential applications for the company's coating technologies.
- Maintain accurate customer, project,



and opportunity information using CRM and internal systems.
- Develop and execute plans to support customer growth, technical projects, and business objectives.
- Stay current on developments in metal manufacturing, coating technologies, surface treatments, and related industrial processes.
- Consistently deliver a high level of customer service and work collaboratively with internal teams to meet customer requirements.

Qualifications & Skills:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in metal manufacturing or a related industrial manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, with experience or exposure to machining, grinding, polishing, coating, or other metal finishing processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical and engineering drawings, including dimensions, tolerances, specifications, and component requirements.
- Knowledge of or exposure to heat-treatment applications and processes.
- Knowledge of or exposure to electroplating and other metal finishing or surface treatment processes.
- Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively to customers and internal teams.
- Highly motivated, organized, and disciplined, with strong time-management and project coordination skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Experience using CRM systems, Microsoft Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and other business software applications.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with technical, operational, and management teams.

Preferred Backgrounds:

Candidates with experience in the following areas are encouraged to apply:

- Tool Cutter / Tool and Cutter Grinder
- CNC Operator / CNC Machinist
- Tool & Die Maker
- Machinist or other skilled metal manufacturing professional
- Metal finishing, coating, heat treatment, or electroplating

If you have a background as a Tool Cutter, CNC Operator, CNC Machinist, or Tool & Die Maker,



and enjoy solving technical challenges, you may be an excellent fit for this role.

Experience or knowledge of PVD coating technologies and their applications is considered a strong asset and bonus, but is not required. Candidates with the ability to read and interpret technical or engineering drawings and an understanding of metal manufacturing processes, heat treatment, electroplating, surface finishing, or industrial coatings are encouraged to apply.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Diploma or degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline is considered an asset.
- Experience working with industrial coatings, surface treatments, heat treatment, electroplating, or advanced materials is an asset.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing technical, applications, sales, or business development role is considered an asset.
