About Us

Thompson Fraser Solar (TFS) is a rapid-growing solar installation company serving the Fraser Valley, Kamloops, and Kelowna. We're looking for a hands-on Solar Panel Installer to join our crew and grow with us as we scale.

The Role

You'll work directly with the owner on residential and commercial solar installations — mounting racking, running wire, installing panels, and helping ensure every job meets code and quality standards. This is a great opportunity to get in early with a growing company and build real skills in a booming industry.

Responsibilities

- Install solar panel systems, racking, and mounting hardware on residential and commercial roofs
- Run conduit and wiring per electrical code and site plans
- Safely operate power tools (drills, saws, grinders, etc.) on a daily basis
- Work at heights and on rooftops following all safety protocols
- Load, transport, and organize equipment and materials for job sites
- Communicate professionally with clients on-site




- Assist with site assessments and troubleshooting as needed

Requirements

- Experience using power tools — required
- Comfortable working at heights and on roofs
- Physically able to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in all seasons
- Strong work ethic, punctual, and reliable
- Able to work well both independently and as part of a small crew

Nice to Have

- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Roofing experience (advantageous, not mandatory)
- Electrical or construction background
- Fall training/certification
- First aid certification
