Fractional Controller (CPA Required)

Part time (3 Days per Week) | Flexible Schedule | Hybrid/Remote

OTUS Group is hiring a Fractional Controller to support a growing portfolio of client organizations. This role is ideal for an experienced CPA who wants a flexible work arrangement while continuing to apply their technical accounting expertise and leadership skills.

The position will begin on a part-time basis (approximately three days per week) and may grow into a full time opportunity.

Responsibilities

- Oversee accounting operations and financial reporting
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes
- Prepare and review financial statements
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Coordinate external audits and auditor requests
- Maintain internal controls and financial processes
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff as required
- Assist clients with financial management and operational improvements

Qualifications

- CPA designation (required)
- Minimum 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Previous Controller or senior accounting leadership experience




- Strong knowledge of financial reporting and accounting standards
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Experience with cloud-based accounting systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Experience working with nonprofit organizations
- Experience in an accounting practice or firm environment, working on multiple clients
