We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Renovation Specialist / Lead Carpenter to join our team. This role focuses on high-quality residential renovations, primarily specializing in bathrooms, kitchens, and basement transformations.

The ideal candidate is a well-rounded tradesperson who takes pride in top-tier craftsmanship, excels in tile and waterproofing systems, and brings fine custom millwork skills to every job site. You must be comfortable managing projects from demo to final trim and working cleanly in lived-in homes.

Key Responsibilities

Bathroom Renovations & Wet Areas

- Complete tear-out and substrate preparation (plumb walls, flat floors, proper slope to drains).
- Installation of modern waterproofing systems (e.g., Schluter-KERDI, Wedi, or continuous liquid membrane systems).
- Custom shower construction, including pan installation, niches, benches, and linear/curb drains.
- Precision tile installation (porcelain, ceramic, mosaic, natural stone, large-format tile) with tight grout lines and clean layout logic.
- Setting tubs, glass shower enclosures, vanities, fixtures, and accessories.

Kitchen & Basement Remodels

- Installation of custom and semi-custom kitchen cabinetry, islands, trim, and filler panels.
- Complete basement framing, drywall hanging/taping, floor levelling, and subfloor prep.
- Finished carpentry: interior doors, baseboards, casing, crown molding, floating shelves, and custom built-ins.
- Installation of luxury vinyl plank (LVP), engineered hardwood, laminate, and tile flooring.





General Renovation & Job Site Duties

- Selective demolition, material handling, site protection, and maintaining a clean, safe job site.
- Rough-in carpentry, wall reframing, dry rot/water damage repairs, and structural modifications as needed.
- Coordinating work sequence with licensed sub-trades (plumbing, electrical, HVAC).
- Reading blueprints, layout plans, and material cut sheets.
- Communicating clearly with clients to address questions and maintain high satisfaction throughout the build.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Experience: Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in residential kitchen, bath, and basement renovations.
- Tile & Waterproofing: Proven track record of installing leak-proof shower waterproofing systems and high-end tile layouts.
- Millwork Skills: Proficient in fine trim work, cabinet installation, scribe cuts, and custom carpentry.
- Tools & Transport: Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record. Personal hand and power tools required.
- Problem Solving: Ability to identify out-of-plumb walls, unlevel floors, or structural issues early and execute clean solutions.
- Work Ethic: Punctual, reliable, physically fit (able to lift 50+ lbs), and committed to leaving clean work zones daily. Positive team player.

Pay: $26.00-$34.00 per hour
