Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Meat Cutter and Packager to join our team. This role involves preparing, cutting, and packaging high-quality meat products while ensuring food safety and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a background in food handling, butchery, and food preparation, with a strong commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

- Cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat according to specified standards and customer orders
- Package meat products securely for retail or wholesale distribution
- Ensure all food handling practices comply with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Operate cutting tools and packaging equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, tools, and equipment throughout the shift
- Assist with inventory management by rotating stock and noting product expiration dates




- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients or team members
- Follow all safety protocols to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a secure working environment

Skills

- Proven experience in the food industry, particularly in butchery or meat preparation
- Strong knowledge of meat cutting techniques and food handling procedures
- Familiarity with food safety standards and sanitation practices
- Ability to operate knives, saws, and packaging machinery safely
- Excellent attention to detail for precise cutting and packaging tasks
- Good physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy loads as needed
- Customer service skills for engaging positively with clients or team members
- Kitchen experience or prior work in food preparation environments is highly desirable

Pay: $17.60 per hour
