We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Vacuum Truck Operator to join our energetic team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating specialized vacuum trucks to perform industrial cleaning, waste removal, and fluid transfer tasks efficiently and safely. Your expertise will ensure that all operations are conducted in compliance with environmental and safety regulations while maintaining high standards of service. Responsibilities
- Operate vacuum trucks and related heavy equipment with precision, ensuring safe handling of fluids, waste materials, and debris.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of equipment to identify potential issues and ensure optimal functioning before each shift.
- Safely connect hoses, valves, and attachments to facilitate efficient fluid transfer or waste removal processes.
- Maintain accurate logs of all operations, including volume measurements, routes taken, and materials handled.
- Follow all safety protocols and environmental regulations during operations to prevent spills, leaks, or accidents.
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment to ensure reliability and longevity.
- Assist with loading and unloading freight or other materials as needed using forklifts or other heavy machinery.
Experience
- Proven experience operating vacuum trucks or similar heavy equipment in an industrial or municipal setting.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record is required.
- Demonstrated ability to operate forklifts safely; certification is preferred.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety standards related to heavy equipment operation.
- Basic automotive repair skills are a plus for troubleshooting minor mechanical issues on-site.
- Prior experience with hazardous material handling or environmental services is advantageous but not mandatory.
