We are currently seeking a qualified individual to join our team in the position of Mechanical Assembly Lead Hand. This is a full-time, permanent position on our day shift. Some of the activities that you would be responsible for include conducting all day-to-day activities relating to the Engine and Pump Assembly division; as well as scheduling and overseeing the daily activities for assembly personnel. In this department, the main focus is assembling engine and machinery units with precision. Units are varying in size and often involve a multitude of components.

Core Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:
- Provide leadership, assistance and support the Engines Assembly Team
- Highly organized, schedule and assign tasks as necessary
- Provide timely & effective communication to and from the supervisory/management staff and team members
- Fosters an environment of safety, teamwork and continuous improvement
- Ensures adherence Company Policies, Procedures, Processes and Shop rules
- Responsible for training & development of new/existing employees in all aspects of the job
- Coordinates delivery/removal of raw material, packaging, finish product at the work center
- Maintains discipline and control in the shop
- Assumes responsibility for organization & accuracy of site inventory once received from the Materials department
- Position, assemble and install components and accessories of various size using a variety of hand and power tools as well as lifting aids (overhead hoists)
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints and other technical diagrams
- Connect cables, tubes and wires to complete assemblies and installations
- Identify and report all defects as appropriate
- Clean and perform preparation of work-site
- Lubricate, clean, maintain and repair machinery, equipment, and tools
- Grind, scrape, sand, or polish surfaces using abrasive tools or machines
- Other duties as assigned
Your Key Skills & Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of manufacturing experience
- Leadership and/or Supervisory experience
- Assertive self-starter with attention to detail, requiring minimal supervision
- Above-average interpersonal skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and Bill of Materials
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to use hand tools and simple power tools
- Quality mindset with strong attention to detail
- Ability to lift 25+ pounds.
- Ability to use power and hand tools
- Basic understanding of computers and software applications
- Willingness to work overtime or adjusted hours as required
- Overhead Crane certification is a strong asset
- Forklift experience is an asset
