MedixSafe is a leading provider of secure medication storage and narcotics tracking solutions for EMS agencies, fire departments, hospitals, and healthcare organizations. Our solutions combine secure hardware and intelligent software to help organizations manage controlled substances safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory requirements.

With new DEA regulations governing EMS agencies and controlled substance handling, MedixSafe is uniquely positioned to help first responders modernize how medications are stored, tracked, and audited.

Our newest product extension delivers vial-level visibility and tracking — allowing agencies to maintain accurate narcotics inventory without disrupting medic workflow.

As we scale, we are looking for a Director of Marketing to build a modern B2B demand engine and position MedixSafe as the category leader in controlled substance compliance and inventory intelligence.

Role Overview

This role will have two primary mandates:

- Customer Success:Lead all activities necessary for existing customers to renew their subscription service with MedixSafe. Those activities would include systematic outreach to all renewing accounts highlighting new product capabilities, leveraging internal tools to monitor customer usage and taking corrective actions for any accounts at risk, managing renewal cycle and working with our Accounting team to ensure invoice delivery and payment.
- Inside Sales: Primary source of inbound leads comes through digital channels – website, adwords, webinars, etc… This role will also be responsible for full sales cycle activities for prospects requiring up to 5 safes: Discovery, Qualification, Product Overview, Proposal delivery and Close.

The ideal candidate combines superb communication skills with solid product knowledge to achieve both mandates.

Time Management will also be an important requirement given the nature of inbound sales inquiries. Balancing the proactive outreach of Customer Success while being responsive to inbound sales opportunities will be critical for success.

This role requires you to be in our Toronto office two days a week.

Key Responsibilities

- Customer Success and Renewals

Renewal Management

- Own the full renewal lifecycle for all assigned accounts,



including proactive outreach beginning 90 days prior to subscription expiration to initiate renewal conversations and confirm continued service
- Maintain a rolling renewal calendar with accurate forecasting of renewal dates, contract values, and risk ratings; provide regular pipeline updates to leadership
- Partner with the Accounting team to ensure accurate and timely invoice generation and delivery, and follow up on outstanding payments to maintain accounts in good standing

Customer Health Monitoring

- Leverage MedixSafe's internal platform and usage analytics to monitor customer engagement, safe access frequency, compliance reporting activity, and overall product utilization across the installed base
- Proactively identify accounts showing signs of disengagement or reduced usage and develop targeted intervention plans to address risk before it becomes churn
- Maintain accurate customer health scores for all assigned accounts and escalate at-risk accounts to leadership with a recommended action plan

Customer Engagement & Adoption

- Conduct systematic outreach to renewing accounts to communicate new product features, software updates, and expanded capabilities — translating product enhancements into compliance and operational value for the customer
- Deliver periodic business reviews for key accounts, highlighting usage trends, compliance outcomes achieved, and the value MedixSafe is delivering against the customer's DEA regulatory obligations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day customer inquiries, coordinating with technical support where required to ensure timely resolution

Voice of Customer

- Capture and document customer feedback, feature requests, and satisfaction signals; communicate insights to the Product and Sales teams to inform roadmap priorities
- Identify and develop reference customers, testimonials, and case study opportunities within the existing customer base

Lead Management & Qualification





- Serve as the first point of contact for all inbound leads generated through digital channels including the MedixSafe website, Google Ads campaigns, webinars, and organic search
- Respond to all inbound inquiries within defined SLA windows; conduct initial qualification to assess agency type, fleet size, DEA registration status, urgency, and budget authority
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all leads, opportunities, and activities in the CRM; ensure pipeline data integrity at all times

Full Sales Cycle Ownership (for a select customer segment)

- Own the complete sales cycle for qualified prospects requiring up to five MedixSafe units, from initial discovery through to signed agreement
- Conduct thorough discovery calls to understand the prospect's controlled substance management challenges, DEA compliance obligations, current storage infrastructure, fleet size, and decision timeline
- Deliver compelling product overviews and live on-line demonstrations tailored to the prospect's specific operational context — EMS agency, fire-based EMS, veterinary clinic, or healthcare facility
- Prepare and deliver customized proposals including hardware configuration, subscription pricing, and ROI context aligned to the prospect's fleet and compliance requirements
- Manage objection handling, negotiate within approved pricing parameters, and drive opportunities to close with a transparent mutual action plan

Pipeline & Forecasting

- Maintain an accurate and current opportunity pipeline for all active inbound deals; provide weekly pipeline and forecast updates to leadership
- Track key sales metrics including lead response time, qualification rate, demo-to-proposal conversion, and close rate; identify patterns and recommend improvements to the inbound sales process

Collaboration

- Work closely with the Marketing team to provide feedback on lead quality from each digital channel, helping optimize campaign targeting and messaging
- Coordinate seamlessly with the Customer Success function (or personally manage the transition) to ensure new customers are onboarded effectively and set up for long-term retention

Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
