Workshop Facilitator Position Summary
We are looking for an energetic, confident, and outgoing Workshop Facilitator to deliver engaging, interactive workshops to high school students across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
This is a facilitation-focused role. You will not be responsible for designing or developing workshop content. All workshop materials, activities, and lesson plans will be provided. Your responsibility is to bring the content to life by creating an engaging environment, leading activities, encouraging participation, and keeping students involved throughout each session.
The ideal candidate is a strong public speaker who is comfortable presenting to groups of teenagers and knows how to command a room while remaining approachable, enthusiastic, and relatable.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate pre-developed workshops at high schools throughout the GTA.
- Deliver workshop content clearly, confidently, and enthusiastically.
- Lead interactive activities, discussions, exercises, and group participation.
- Create an inclusive, positive, and engaging workplace for students.
- Encourage participation from students with different personalities and comfort levels.
- Manage the energy, pacing, and flow of each workshop.
- Adapt your facilitation style based on the audience while maintaining the established workshop content.
- Answer student questions and help clarify workshop concepts when needed.
- Maintain professionalism when working with students, teachers, school administrators, and other staff.
- Arrive at schools prepared and on time with all required workshop materials.
- Provide feedback following workshops regarding student engagement and overall session delivery.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in public speaking, facilitation, training, teaching, coaching, or a leadership role involving presenting to groups.
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
- Must be outgoing, energetic, personable, and comfortable speaking in front of large groups.
- Ability to connect and communicate effectively with high school-aged students.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Comfortable leading games, discussions, group exercises, and other interactive activities.
- Ability to think on your feet and maintain engagement in a classroom or auditorium setting.
- Reliable, organized, professional, and punctual.
- Must have a valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle to travel to high schools throughout the GTA.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who can walk into a room and immediately create energy and connection. You should enjoy interacting with young people, be comfortable taking the lead, and know how to make structured content feel conversational, interactive, and memorable.
You do not need to be an instructional designer or curriculum developer. The content is already created — your role is to deliver it exceptionally well.
If you enjoy making an impact through communication, interaction, and meaningful engagement, this could be a outstanding fit for you.
Pay: $42.00 per hour
