About AMZ Prep

AMZ Prep is an Amazon-first 3PL and commerce enablement company built for brands that are scaling faster than their supply chain can keep up. We operate 20+ warehouses across the United States and Canada, push 200,000+ units per day into Amazon, and serve 1,300+ brands across FBA prep, FBM and DTC fulfillment, B2B and retail distribution, parcel, and freight.

What separates us is that we are not just moving boxes. We are building the software and AI layer that runs modern fulfillment, including our own WMS, brand-facing portal, and Waybill, our AI logistics workforce platform that automates the exception handling, tracking, and communication work that traditionally eats a 3PL alive. That combination lets our brands ship faster, hold less inventory, protect margin on every order, and stop treating logistics as the thing that limits their growth.

We are scaling aggressively and hiring a Director of Business Development to own and lead our enterprise growth motion.

About the Position

The Director of Business Development owns enterprise new logo revenue at AMZ Prep. This is a player-coach role, meaning you will personally carry and close the largest and most complex opportunities in the pipeline while also building the strategy, process, and eventually the team that scales that motion beyond you.

These are consultative, multi-stakeholder deals where you are diagnosing real operational pain in a brand's fulfillment and shipping network, then designing a solution across our warehouse footprint, technology, and transportation programs. You will be accountable for pipeline coverage, forecast accuracy, and revenue attainment, and you will work directly with the CEO and the operations and finance leadership team on pricing, network design, and which segments we go after next.

Success in this role requires genuine command of the logistics landscape, including how Amazon's requirements are shifting, what competing 3PLs are offering, and where a brand is quietly losing money in its current setup.

What You'll Do

- Own the enterprise new business number, including pipeline generation, forecast accuracy, and quarterly revenue attainment.
- Personally lead and close the largest and most strategic opportunities across the US and Canada,

covering fulfillment, shipping, freight, and our technology platform.
- Build the go-to-market strategy for enterprise, including target account definition, segmentation, messaging, pricing posture, and the channels and partnerships that will feed pipeline.
- Establish and run the sales process end to end, covering discovery frameworks, qualification criteria, deal reviews, CRM hygiene, and the reporting the leadership team uses to make decisions.
- Recruit, onboard, and develop account executives and SDRs as the function scales, and hold the team to a clear standard of activity and rigor.
- Build strategic relationships with supply chain, operations, e-commerce, and finance leaders inside customer organizations, and use those relationships to find where AMZ Prep can create measurable value.
- Lead discovery that goes deep on cost per order, inventory placement, transit times, chargebacks, and Amazon compliance, then translate those findings into a solution and a business case the customer's CFO will sign off on.
- Partner with operations, solutions engineering, and finance to scope pricing, network design, and implementation timelines for complex multi-node deals, and stay involved through onboarding so the accounts we win actually stick.
- Bring structured market intelligence back into the business, including competitive positioning, Amazon policy shifts, carrier dynamics, and product gaps that are costing us deals.
- Represent AMZ Prep at industry events, on partner stages, and in front of the market as a credible voice on modern fulfillment.

What You'll Need

- 4-8+ years in enterprise sales or business development, including experience selling to VPs, SVPs, and C-suite executives at Fortune 1000 or high-growth enterprise brands, with a documented track record of hitting and exceeding quota.

- Experience owning a number rather than just carrying one, meaning you have built pipeline strategy, run forecast, and been accountable for a segment or region.
- Logistics, supply chain, 3PL, or e-commerce experience strongly preferred, with Amazon channel knowledge considered a significant advantage.
- Experience hiring, coaching, or leading commercial talent, or a clear readiness to take that on within the first year.
- Demonstrated ability to build real personal relationships and to keep moving through rejection and long deal cycles without losing momentum.
- Comfort operating in a quick-moving environment where the playbook is still being written and customer interests come first.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, along with strong attention to detail and comfort working in the numbers.
- Willingness to travel for customer meetings, site visits, and industry events.

Why AMZ Prep

You will be selling into a market where most brands are actively unhappy with their current 3PL, and you will have a founder-led team behind you that moves quickly on custom solutions instead of hiding behind policy.

This role reports directly to the CEO, carries a competitive base with uncapped commission and comes with a genuine path to VP as the commercial organization scales.

Pay: $148,022.42-$277,770.53 per year

Benefits:

- Casual dress
- Dental care
- Flexible schedule
- On-site parking

Application question(s):

- Record a short Loom (3 minutes max) pitching yourself for this role.

We are hiring someone whose job is to be persuasive on camera and in the room, so we would rather see you do it than read about it. Record a Loom of no more than three minutes and paste the link below.

Cover these three things:
- Why you. The single strongest piece of evidence that you can own an enterprise number and close large, complex deals.
- Why AMZ Prep. What you understand about our business or the 3PL market that makes you want this specific role rather than any Director of BD job.
- Your first 90 days. How you would attack pipeline from a standing start, given what you know about us today.
