Job Summary

As our After School Program Coordinator, where you'll lead engaging, educational, and fun activities for children 8-11, after school hours. This role offers a opportunity to inspire young minds, foster a positive learning environment, and build meaningful relationships with students. As a key facilitator of our after school initiatives, you will ensure a secure, inclusive, and stimulating atmosphere that promotes growth, creativity, and social development.

Responsibilities

- Plan and implement diverse after school activities that align with educational goals and student interests
- Supervise children during program hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Foster a welcoming environment that encourages participation, teamwork, and positive behavior
- Maintain accurate attendance records and activity logs to monitor student engagement and progress
- Enforce program policies and safety protocols consistently to uphold a secure environment
- Provide guidance and mentorship to students, promoting social-emotional development through teaching and role modeling




- Proven experience in teaching or working with children in an educational or recreational setting
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan engaging activities and manage multiple responsibilities effectively
- Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with children, parents, staff, and community partners
- Ability to create a positive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages learning and social interaction
- Flexibility to adapt activities based on student needs and program goals
- Certification in first aid or CPR is preferred but not required; willingness to obtain certification upon hire
- Passion for education, mentorship, and making a difference in young lives
