Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Class 1 Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting refrigerated goods safely and efficiently from Alberta to BC and return. This role requires a strong understanding of freight operations, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle heavy equipment. As a our Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to safety regulations.

****Minimum 3 years commercial experience with clean abstract****

****Shifts are on the highway, to and from BC****

*** MUST BE LOCATED IN CALGARY ****

** LTL / MULTIPLE DROPS, NOT ONE PICK ONE DROP**

Average trip length to BC and return is 2.5-3 days. Can pay salary or mileage + drops.

Responsibilities

- Operate and drive trucks to transport freight to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and delivery receipts.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transit.




- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
- Perform basic maintenance on the truck, including checking fluid levels and tire pressure.
- Operate forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed for loading and unloading.

Requirements

- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required.
- Proven experience in commercial driving or freight transportation is preferred.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical repairs is required
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries.
- Must be able to pass background checks and drug screenings as required by company policy.

Job Type: Full time

Pay: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
