Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behaviour Analyst/Psychotherapist to join our multidisciplinary team. This role involves providing evidence-based behavioral therapy and psychotherapy services to children with developmental and behavioral challenges. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in special education, patient care, and experience working with children. The position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of clients and their families through personalized treatment plans and data-driven interventions.

Hours:

We are currently looking to hire an experienced part-time therapist in the Scarborough location to work with an autistic teenager for 4 hours a week in-home.

Responsibilities

- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized behavior intervention plans based on assessments and client needs.
- Conduct therapy sessions focusing on skill development, behavior management, and emotional support for children.
- Collect, analyze, and document data related to client progress using electronic medical records systems.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, educators, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions, progress notes, and treatment outcomes in compliance with regulatory standards.




- Provide training and support to caregivers and educators to reinforce therapeutic strategies in various settings.
- Stay current with the latest research and best practices in behavior analysis and psychotherapy to continuously improve service quality.

Requirements

- Valid certification as a Registered Behaviour Analyst (BCBA or equivalent) or licensed Psychotherapist.
- Experience working with children in clinical, educational, or therapeutic settings.
- Knowledge of special education principles, patient care practices, and medical terminology.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records for documentation and data collection purposes.
- Strong interpersonal skills with patience, empathy, and the ability to build trust with young clients and their families.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Prior experience with data collection methods related to behavioral interventions is highly desirable.
