Fitset Ninja is a leading ninja obstacle training organization with thriving locations in Edmonton and Calgary, AB, and we’re growing fast. This summer we launched an exciting pop-up location in Kelowna, BC, marking the first step toward establishing a permanent presence in the Okanagan. Our long-term vision is bold: to bring Ninja Obstacle Sports into the mainstream and expand Fitset Ninja locations across Canada.

What Will You Be Doing?

Our Mobile Obstacle Course and Camp Coaches lead engaging, dynamic programming for participants of all ages. During Mobile Obstacle Course events at schools and private events, coaches set up our equipment and guide participants through foundational Ninja skills, creating a fun and unforgettable experience for everyone. During PD days and school-break camps, coaches deliver fun, inclusive, and engaging programming that helps campers build their skills, confidence, and excitement for continued development in the sport of Ninja.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Act as a mentor to participants




- Ensure equipment is safe and appropriate for participant age and skill level (training provided)
- Find solutions to problems as they arise or reach out for help
- Ensure that participants are having fun
- Provide support and encouragement to athletes
- Ensure that all athletes in your group are engaged, regardless of fitness level or prior ninja experience
- Demonstrate the Fitset Ninja Mission & Values, like Growth Mindset and Customer Focus
- Provide feedback to the organization on opportunities for improvement and growth in our programming
- Communicate facility rules, safety protocols and the plan for the day to participants in a large group format
- Promote Fitset programming to participants and parents, guardians and school staff
- Provide clear instructions/demonstrations on how to use equipment safely
- Manage participant behavioural issues or refer to the Operations Lead
- Be a positive role model for participants and always lead by example
- Support the check-in and out of participants
- Ensure the safe operation of our facilities and equipment
- Provide a memorable experience for all participants
- Facilitate activities, drills and fun competitions in collaboration with the other coaches and lead

Qualifications

- Prior experience working with children & youth
- Athletic experience and/or coaching experience
- Valid Standard First Aid / CPR-C
- Completed and cleared Police Record check with Vulnerable Sector Search
- Completion of Safe Sport Certificate
- Available for daytime hours on Weekdays and Weekends
