Full Job Description:

We are hiring reliable and hardworking Recycling & Waste Sorting Workers who can communicate in English and Tagalog.

This is a hands-on position in a garbage and recycling facility. Workers will sort and separate a variety of waste and recyclable materials, which may include food waste, metal, clothing/textiles, plastics, cardboard, packaging, and other discarded materials.

Important Working Conditions:

Please be aware that this is a waste and recycling environment. Due to the nature of the materials being handled, there may be robust or unpleasant smells, particularly from food and other waste.

Responsibilities:

- Sort garbage and recyclable materials on the sorting line
- Separate food waste, metal, clothing/textiles, plastics, cardboard, and other materials
- Identify and remove unsuitable or contaminated materials
- Lift, move, and handle materials as required
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Work efficiently as part of a team




- Perform other general labour duties as assigned

Requirements:

- Able to communicate in English and Tagalog
- Comfortable working with garbage and mixed waste
- Comfortable working in an environment where strong or unpleasant smells may be present
- Able to stand for extended periods
- Able to perform repetitive physical work
- Able to lift and move materials as required
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to follow instructions and safety procedures
- Previous recycling, waste management, warehouse, production, or general labour experience is an asset
