We're a busy pre-owned dealership inside the Fraser Valley Automall with our own service bays. We're bringing our reconditioning, repair, and inspection work in house and we need one skilled, certified technician to lead it.

This is not a lube bay job. We do timing chains, internal engine work, teardowns and reassembly. We move a lot of trucks, so diesel experience matters. If your strength is bolting on brake pads, this isn't the seat. If you can open an engine and put it back together properly, keep reading.

What we need

- Licensed Automotive Service Technician, or BC Certificate of Qualification
- Proven internal engine work: timing chains, head jobs, teardown and reassembly
- Solid diesel experience on light-duty trucks
- Strong diagnostics across brakes, suspension, steering, electrical, and driveability
- Able to perform and sign off on mechanical safety inspections for our retail inventory
- Works independently and sets the pace of a shop without being managed

We're firm on the ticket. Every car we sell goes out with an inspection behind it and our name on it. That signature needs to mean something.

The work

Reconditioning, repairing, and inspecting our own inventory. We keep 100+ vehicles on the ground and buy daily through OPENLANE, TradeRev, EBlock, and direct from Enterprise and the major rental fleets. Steady, predictable volume that's already funded. You're not fighting for hours or waiting on a service advisor to sell a job.

The work runs the full range,



from routine inspection and brake work to engines that need to come apart. It's varied, and it's yours to plan.

Where this is going

We're opening the shop to the public. Retail service, oil changes, repairs, and general maintenance for customers alongside our own inventory. As that volume builds we are adding technicians and support staff underneath you. Get in now and you're shaping how the department runs rather than inheriting someone else's system.

We're also working toward Designated Inspection Facility status. If you hold an Authorized Inspector certificate or want to get one, we'll pay for it and there's more money in it for you.

- Contractor: We pay your company directly. Invoice us. Hourly or flat rate, your structure.
- Employee: Competitive hourly, consistent full-time hours, no flag-hour games.

Who we're looking for

Someone tired of turning wrenches inside someone else's system who wants to set up a shop and run it properly. If you've considered opening your own place but don't want the rent, the overhead, or the customer headaches, the contractor structure here gets you most of that without the risk.

Requirements

- BC Certificate of Qualification, Automotive Service Technician
- Own tools
- Valid BC driver's licence
- Heavy duty or Truck and Transport ticket is a bonus
- Authorized Inspector certificate is a strong asset, not required
