Overview
Join our dedicated team as an ECEA Assistant or Responsible Adult, where you will play a vital role in supporting early childhood education programs. This position offers an exciting chance to work closely with young children, fostering a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment. You will assist lead educators in implementing educational activities, ensuring children's safety, and promoting positive development. Duties
- Support lead teachers in planning and delivering age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning and development
- Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, and transitions to ensure safety at all times
- Assist with classroom management by maintaining a positive and inclusive environment for all children
- Help with daily routines such as diapering, toileting, and handwashing to support children's hygiene needs
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to foster a collaborative atmosphere
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of learning materials and classroom spaces
- Observe and document children's progress, sharing insights with educators to support individualized learning plans
- Help with school pickup and drop off
Requirements
- Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a dynamic environment
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with children, parents, and colleagues
- Reliable, energetic, and committed to creating a safe space for children’s growth and development
- Must meet any probincial licensing or certification requirements for responsible adults or ECEA assistants
- Must have required First Aid certifications and vaccinations.
- Must be able to work after school hours (starting at 2:00pm)

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15.0 – 20.0 per week
