Position Overview

As a Speech-Language Pathologist at MultilinguAbilities, you will play a key role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating children with a variety of communication disorders. You will independently develop and implement personalized, evidence-based interventions that support speech, language, and social communication development.

Your expertise and commitment will directly contribute to improving the quality of life for the children and families we serve.

Key Responsibilities

- Assess, diagnose, and treat children with speech, language, communication, feeding, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on client needs, goals, and evidence-based practices.
- Collaborate with multilingual families and caregivers, providing culturally responsive strategies to support communication development at home.




- Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of assessments, therapy sessions, progress, and clinical reports.
- Select, create, and adapt therapy materials and resources to support client goals.
- Stay current with research, clinical best practices, and continuing education in the field of Speech-Language Pathology.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, actively participating in case discussions, team meetings, and professional development initiatives.

Qualifications

- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Active registration and valid practice permit with the Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA), or eligibility to obtain registration before beginning employment.
- Recent graduates are welcome to apply.
- Experience working with children with communication disorders is preferred.
- Experience in assessment and treatment is preferred.
- Mental health experience is an asset.
- Proficiency in multiple languages is an asset.
- Knowledge of assessment tools and evidence-based therapy techniques for speech and language development.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with children, families, caregivers,



and team members.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Job Details

Compensation:

- Registered Speech-Language Pathologists: $45–$62/hour, based on experience
- Recent graduates without experience: $30–$40/hour

Hours of work: Flexible hours, approximately 15–20 hours per week

Shift structure: Flexible schedule and/or weekends
